I get mushy-mushy. No, seriously

As of 7 o'clock this morning, I've officially resigned my position as front desk clerk at the Mayflower Hotel. Now I'll know how a weekend feels like again! I didn't say goodbye to Sophie yesterday but she called early this morning before my shift ended to ask about the new guy I was training and also to say goodbye. She sounded groggy when she called so she did make an effort not to miss saying goodbye to me haha! I said goodbye to Michaela and Angel last night but it was quite unceremoniously done. At one point I felt like Angel wanted to at least shake hands with me but I was half-facing her and the moment passed. I met Dijana the next morning and I really missed her since I haven't seen my rookie buddy and gossip pal for a couple of weeks due to her parents being in an accident and all. I'm gonna miss her the most and we kissed each other goodbye (reminds me of the Salut! kisses when I was in France!). I can still taste her foundation teehee. I also shook hands with Shah Rukh but we didn't chat or anything. Maybe it's just me but I think Dijana got a bit teary-eyed when I left...I feel loved!

But I have to say I'm definitely gonna miss the whole experience of working there. I'm gonna miss seeing the old, small Chinese lady always carrying a plastic bag waiting for the bus at Baker Street when I was going to go to work. I'm gonna miss my morning bus pals like Scarf Man, the lady with the birthmark on her cheek, the young Muslim lady who worked/studied at the Westminster Uni and seeing the city of London relatively deserted in the early weekend mornings. God I hate it when I get all nostalgic.

Well, that's it. Goodbye Mayflower.
